The Nevada Physical Therapy Board conducts its meetings in accordance with Nevada’s Open Meeting Law. Meeting notices, agendas, and supporting materials are made available to the public in advance, and members of the public are welcome to attend and participate in accordance with applicable law and agenda instructions.
Public comment is welcome at Nevada Physical Therapy Board meetings in accordance with Nevada law and the posted agenda. Individuals wishing to appear before the Board on a specific matter may submit a request to appear, and the matter will be placed on a future agenda if appropriate and in accordance with applicable law and meeting procedures. Speakers should follow the meeting instructions and keep comments respectful and relevant to Board business.
Non-complaint Issues
Issues that are not formal complaints can be brought to the Board's attention.
Public Comment
Public comment is welcome by the Board in writing or in person. If submitted in writing, public comments must be received by the Board Office at least 48 hours prior to the Board meeting in order to be read into the record during the meeting. Written public comments may be submitted by email, fax, or letter.
There is a time designated at the beginning and end of the meeting for public comment. Individuals may bring matters not appearing on the agenda to the attention of the Board or make comments on specific agenda items. Public comment will be limited to five minutes per person, and comments based on a viewpoint will not be restricted. The Chair or designee may allow additional time to a speaker at the Chair or designee’s sole discretion (NRS 241.020, NRS 241.030).
You can submit before Members of the public wishing to make public comments may do so via videoconference through Microsoft Teams Meeting. No vote may be taken upon a matter raised during a period devoted to public comment until the matter itself has been specifically included on an agenda as an item upon which action may be taken. (NRS 241.020).

Request to Appear Before the Board
A Request to Appear Before the Board provides an opportunity for an issue to be considered for placement on the Board meeting agenda for formal discussion and consideration. Requests must be submitted at least 30 days prior to the requested Board meeting to allow sufficient time for review. Submission of a request does not guarantee that the request will be approved or that the matter will be placed on the Board agenda. Requests may be approved or denied based on the Board’s review and applicable requirements.
